ExaltBiomorph [Genotype, Ideal PArahuman]The Exalt is one of the first, and oldest, attempts to create a parahuman subspecies of humanity with what are called "idealized" features. For the most part, the experiment succeeded. The Exalt emerged sometime during the late Interplanetary Period or the early Interstellar Period, when humanity began to get a better handle on genetic engineering and space colonies and Asteroid cloud colonies had loosened restrictions on genetic engineering to the point where such things were possible. The first Exalts can be traced back to Barpha Kakshom and Jalas, two habitats constructed in the Belt. From there, the genotype spread quickly, the idealized features making it perfect for much of humanity. It continues to be one of the dominant parahuman genotypes in the Verge and Bleed to this day, with somewhere between 15 and 20% of the total physical population being an Exalt.
As far as design choices go, the Exalt is a Homo "superior" designed that features a number of radical species and eugenic modifications, selecting for high intelligence, lengthened lifespan, and with extensive eugenic and species modifications, including a redesigned heart, arteries, spell, and gastrointestinal tract. They also feature a number of alterations to the cell structure, which reduce cumulative copying errors and enable longer lifespans. Interesting Facts
