PandoraBiomorph [Genotype, Ideal PArahuman]The Pandora genotype first emerged in the Interstellar Period following the loosening of ethics regarding bioengineering and genetic engineering in the outer system. From there, the Pandora spread quickly among a small number of brinker groups, where it came to be the dominant genotype. When those brinker groups left for the stars, they took the genotype with them, and so the Pandora quickly became one of the most important minor genotypes in the entire Verge and Bleed. This is also why a number of the problems with the genotype were never fixed - the communities were quick to adopt it, believe that it could help set them apart from their neighbors and by the time the official genome was available for everyone, the genotype had already become too common. It achieved a modicum of success during the post-Swarm periods, and fell out of style for a while until just recently, as it slowly begins to emerge back into popularity again.
The design goal with the Pandora wasn't just to make a smarter human, but one who could think faster, as well. To achieve this goal, engineers beefed up the neural connections between the two hemispheres of the brain, allowing them to transmit information much more quickly than they otherwise could. The engineers also boosted overall intelligence as well, further altering brain chemistry. However, the speech centers of the brain didn't wire in as well as some may have hoped, and as a result, they have a hard time slowing down their speech for individuals who lack the Enhanced Time Sense. Similarly, the design is not as hardy as engineers would have liked, as well. Interesting Facts
